Only problem with ROBOCOPY comes to bear when migrating data where LOCAL groups are used in file level ACL's because the SID is different across filers. NetApp User Group for the UK

This is just a quick note to clear up any confusion about an e-mail many of you may have received from Linda Symons of LS Consulting Services. Linda is working with me to explore the requirement of our users for an Independent NetApp user group in the UK. The process so far has been to meet and discuss with 8-10 customers who expressed an interest in being involved in an Independent group. From this it was agreed to survey broader customer base to determine broader interest. And dependent on results to build a user event to kick-off User group. The event would be built upon the issues that the users wanted to discuss. The e-mail you may have received is the survey step and is 100% endorsed by the NetApp UK Management team. Cluster failover and SIGLOST

When failing over between machines in a cluster, how transparent will this be in the area of NFS locks? Does the NetApp notify the client machines and ask them to reclaim the locks (potentially generating SIGLOST), or is the locking info synchronised between machines in the cluster so that it doesn't need to do that? Wquinn and NetApp

Good morning, all, We're trying to do a quick evaluation of SRM products for some Win2K servers that we have and Wquinn's Storage Central/Quota Advisor is being mentioned. They list NetApp as a strategic partner on their website, although they don't list any products specifically for NAS. Does anyone have any experience with this software as it applies to NetApp's and/or Win2K environments? Also, any recommendations for other products that work with NAS and Win2K servers? We're primarily looking for quota enforcement and basic reporting across maybe 90 Win2K servers and 12 NetApp boxes. Many thanks in advance.
