Hi mark,
You can shuffle as much as you want. That's no problem. It's ofcourse important that you look at the shelfs ID's.
Best regards,
Reinoud

Subject: Move shelf between fiber loops.
First post on list.
I have a F760 with 8 FC-9 shelves. Running ONTAP 6.5.2R1. I want to add
one more shelf. I see 8 on a fiber channel is max so I need to first
install a second fiber loop.
Instead of having 8 shelves on more fiber channel and 1 on the 2nd FC it
seems logical that I should distribute the disks shelves over the two fiber
channels. Question is if I move a disk shelf from one fiber loop to another
will the OS find all the volumes on boot. Or is there something I must do
configuration wise.
Thanks
mark
