I keep getting these folders on one of my CIFS volumes. I don't think the Filer is responsible but I'm having trouble finding the cause. Below is an example of a folder name. There is sometimes a symbols folder underneath the main folder but not in every case. There are no files under the folder at all.

Does anyone else recognize this or know what causes it?

md5sum is a checksum program (it aims to check the integrity of a file by computing a hash code based on the size and binary content of the file - most common cheksum under un*x is cksum -the simplest is sum) I guess u have a md5sum type program which generates those directory but can't tell you why and how (u r under windoze ?)
