Hello, We have been receiving this alert below intermittently and from what i believe this only reared its head after an upgrade to 9.1, we are operating on a version (9.1P2) where this supposed bug is fixed and it causes no issues that I am aware. Does anyone had any dealings with this alert? or know how to find out more about the potential cause? We are not aware of any network misconfigurations in the environment, but when I run a 'network connections active show' I see his port being used by our ESXi hosts for NFS. This also is reported by the other node in the cluster too and also at a remote site by another cluster. The alerts are random and appear maybe once a day. Maybe nothing to worry about but any information or help much appreciated...... These connection requests include partially completed connections and connections that are ready to be accepted. Migrate root volume to partitioned disks after wipeconfig

Hey there, I've got a FAS2554 here which I've pushed through wipeconfig recently and interestingly, both controllers show different layouts after this process. So what I'd like to do now is to migrate the root aggregate on node2 to an aggregate with partitioned disks too, of course, but I cannot find any information on how to do that. I've tried to manually create an aggregate on node 2 and have manually assigned the root partitions to it, but it's always telling me that the disks are not owned by node 2 or the new migrate-root command just does not seem to support partitioned disks. Trying to avoid another wipeconfig here, since that will take ages again for zeroing all the disks... Thanks Phillip! I did see this last week. It seems with the combining of OCUM and OCPM into one server the upgrade process might be a bit time consuming so I have it on the list to do once I read up on the process. Also, don't want to lose the feed from OCPM to NetApp Harvest and haven't verified that ability still exists in the new version. But yes, after reading the release notes I am anxious to see what this new combined server/interface looks like and test the functionality it provides. Q: Is the automation store going to live on? If so, will NetApp start providing new reports for OCUM/PM? The user community doesn't appear to be that lively. Hi, I was recently tasked with presenting latency numbers for aggrs and vols on a regular basis. These would be numbers averaged over 30 days. We're on cDOT 9.1P2 and OCUM is, to say the least, anemic when it comes to reporting on such things. Performance manager will provide the numbers but doesn't have the capabilities to save them to a spreadsheet, or whatever. What are you fellow NetApp admins using for metrics reporting these days?

To clarify, yes, I can pull Graphite graphs into, say, SharePoint and am considering this route for some things. In fact, recent help I received from the Harvest author allowed me to create a graphical representation of inode usage in some volumes we have that are heavy inode eaters. Hi Toasters, We are looking at how AltaVault may help with our Backup environment and assist in a move towards a tapeless solution. We are not 100% NetApp so can't just rely on SnapVault as I would have in the past. One biggie would be our SQL maint plan's dump out .bak files to a share presented from AV.. But is it true WORM or are these files at risk of being deleted by human error? Appreciate Thoughts? Experiences? Gotchyas? On the AV technology as a whole. Many Thanks in advance, Chris.

network configuration broadcast domains

Our netapp clusters started life on 8.2.x and have now all been upgraded to 9.1, we have a lot of vlans set up in the Default broadcast domain which are flagged on the now site as something which should now be split out. This looks to be a simple enough thing to do using "broadcast-domain split" but I cannot see anything in the docs to say if this is disruptive to any connected systems. While I have been able to split a couple of ports off on our sandpit where the lifs seemed to have no problems and didn't drop a ping I just wanted to see if anyone can say if we might see any issues if a lif on the vlan ports being split ?
