If file access is controlled by NT ACL's as Andrew
suggests, whomever you reach at NetApp support should
know of a tool call "ntchown", which is very useful
for allowing the NT administrator to set the owner
of a directory or file. This was eventually supposed
to be placed on NOW, but I'm not sure if it ever
made it.
