Everything else works fine, the filer doesn't. Memory upgrade for F720?

Can I upgrade the RAM in my F720 from 256 -> 512? If so, is there a specific type of RAM I need to use? What about upgrading the NVRAM? Thanks

Who's using cluster failover? We're thinking of doing it with 2 F760's, about 1TB total. Can anyone relate any pluses/minuses of such a configuration? Sun allows you to define different trunking policies: - mac - round robin - IP destination address - IP source/destination addres For more information, go to http://docs.sun.com , I think the sun trunking manual is online. Other platforms may have fixed policies or different options. We do publish a calculation that you can use to estimate the "Mean Time to Data Loss" based on the MTBF for each type of drive. You can get the MTBF number from the individual drive manufacturer's web sites. http://www.netapp.com/tech_library/3027.html#section3.2 In this reference "Data Loss" is defined as "when the failures of two or more disk drives within the same RAID group overlap" This would be the time that you would be required to restore from tape. As far as actual field numbers... What about SSH

Hi All, As requested, we have modified our "downtime" statement to make it clear when the NOW site is down for scheduled downtime or due to technical difficulties . Also we posted our scheduled downtime information in a link off of the NOW home page (located at the bottom). In the near future we will be moving away from monthly releases and will move towards quarterly releases-which equates to more uptime for our users.
