Greetings,
We have a DFM server running 4.0.2. I have a remote user who can't log into the web interface. He is listed as a user and has global view permissions. He shows up in the dfm user list output. It appears he has forgotten what his password is. I've been looking around for an hour and can't figure out how to change his password so he can get into the web page.
Where is it doing the authentication from?
Thanks,
Jeff
I believe there was a bug with a version of IE. Has the user tried to use FireFox? We use Active Directory authentication; Not sure if you are using a local user.

Jeff,
if the DFM server is running on a *NIX box, your user is usually authenticating back through to the OS. Changing the user password on the machine usually takes care of it.
good luck,

Thanks everyone.
I thought this should be the case, but the dfm user name doesn't match any unix name. From what I can tell, it doesn't match a Windows Domain either. There is not a local password account on the DFM server for him either. I created a new local account for him and I can log in using the username and password.
I'm guessing he must have had a local account sometime in the past that got deleted. The .OLD copy of the password file is dated more than a year ago and he wasn't in there either. I guess he hasn't used the account in a longer time than I expected :-)
Thanks,
Jeff
