Has anyone working a Filer with a FC tape adapter (X2051A) with a IBM 3583 in SAN Brocade enviroment? I trying without success to connect to Bridge FC/SCSI in IBM 3583 from FC tape adapter in Filer825 which send the following error messages. Any information will be apreciated

Carlos,
You may need to implement zoning on the switch so that the filer can only see the bridge and nothing else. Create a zone that contains just the ports for the filer and the bridge. I've seen this in similar scenarios - filers don't like to see other filers or servers.
There's a specific reference to this error msg on NOW, but it's not particularly helpful: http://now.netapp.com/Knowledgebase/solutionarea.asp?id=ntapcs11592&reso...
On the bridge, check that the LUNs for the library and drives number from zero and are contiguous, ie 0,1,2,3,etc and make the library controller LUN 0.
The "nsshow" command on the switch will tell you which devices have logged into the fabric and registered with the nameserver. Make sure the bridge and filer appear in this list on the correct ports.
btw, you seem to have differing f/w levels on the LTO drives - probably not a good idea.

Hi Duncan. I followed the Tape FC SAN recommendations from Netapp to configure the switch: full fabric mode with quickloop disabled. port scanning disable. use hard addressing. two tape and filer/hba in the same zone
On bridge mc and drives are contiguous but i need to configure point to point only two drives to filer in the same zone. I have overlapping zone, where this two drives with the rest (mc and third tape drive ) are conennecting in loop to a Legato server in another zone.
