Yes, they should, on the other hand if you munge the cable ( anyone ever bent a few pins on a SCSI cable?? ) it'd be a bit easier to come up with a replacement DB9 cable.

Not that serious a question, but we just got a new F720 and was wondering why the Fibre card has the funky connector on it, but the filer and the trays have a 9-pin connector? I would think as much as the box was idiot-proofed they would of at least used a different connector for the shelves then from the serial devices....

If you are making such a large investment deploying netapp boxes, shouldn't the people who are going to admin it know the difference between serial and FCAL? (:
