For those interested;

Delete the checkpoint by entering the following commands: ::> node run -node <node that owns the volume> *> priv set diag *> sis reset /vol/vol_name checkpoint 0

If the issue persists even after checkpoint is deleted, enter the following command to disable deduplication on the volume:

cluster1::> volume efficiency off -vserver vs1 -path /vol/vol_name

The volume is only 1% full so I don’t believe it is disk space related.
