when I do vol status : I get positive results, snap list indicates that all are being mirrored. but the three F840's involved in the "Mirror" scenario all still see these errors. The sizes look to be correct as well - anyone with any idea let me know. Wed Nov 15 13:01:00 EST [worker_thread]: The source filer requires a complete transfer. The destination volume is online and must be offline for a complete transfer.

Feelings on 5.3.7?

A couple of us have already put out feelers for 5.3.7 and I've only seen limited public response. We've been running it in the lab and limited production for about two weeks now with no problems. So far everything we've heard from others has been positive. 1) Any customers with active bugs open on 5.3.7? 2) Anybody having problems with Veritas NBU + 5.3.7? 3) Any NetApp folks willing to say when 5.3.7 will be recommended? Sometimes people do indeed get carried away by emotion. What *is* relevant about my response posting (look at the subject:) is that Exchange doesn't and won't support NAS. This effects customers of NetApp, but also EMC, Microsoft, MTI, Compaq, IBM, H-P, etc.... That I happen to work for EMC was NOT relevant with respect to my initial response. But, hey, some people judge one's posting on where the poster gets it's salary and not what experience, knowledge the poster can contribute. So you have to work for a non-vendor or hide your personality with some fake email address and ip address in order to be taken seriously. Interesting, never looked at it that way. So much for this list being in spirit with the good ol' net. Folks - I'm sure most of us would really appreciate it if the personalisation and bizarre "I know who you *really* are!" comments were kept off the toasters list. Most of us are experienced systems administrators and integrators, and you don't last long in those positions without being able to detect when someone is being genuine and when they're talking shite. Accusing someone of being a secret agent for EMC, or whatever other company, is completely off the wall. This is a discussion list not an advocacy list, and the only significant blip on the signal-to- noise ratio are these bizarre trips into ad-hominem land. Take it to personal mail, FFS.
