I am currently evaluating 3 different ndmp backup products. I expect to pick one in about 2 weeks. So far I have been most impressed with Time Navigator by Quadratec Software. I have 2 760's and a Qualstar 4000 Series AIT2 loader. The nice thing is that my 760's are not going to be in production till our fiber switch arrives which is slated for Aug 1, which gives me a nice little test environment.
I will post any findings to the list. I encourage anyone else that has exp with any ndmp backups to chime in, and help us find a good solution.

First, for non NDMP backup, is there special client packs required for either (and is netapp dump supported)? I'm going through Sun since they sell both and they were unaware of any.
Second, any thing to be aware/careful about with either backup solution?
Third, any problems with ClearCase and either package?
Much thanks!

I've been testing Time Navigator myself for the past week or so. It definitely seems like a good product. Scheduling isn't as easy as in BudTool (which was what we are currently using). Restoring multiple files from a specific point in time is much easier. I'm just waiting for our new F740 to get wired in before testing the NDMP support.
The support from Quadratec has been excellent. Quick responses and willing to help out with installs and all sorts of problems.
I expect to get a copy of Backup Express to test yet. Up until now, we had pretty well settled on Veritas. By chance, happened across TiNa and I'm glad I did.

What were your experiences with Veritas? We are currently using budtool also.
