i am snapmirroring between a 740 with 5.3 and a 840 with 6.0. the initial snapmirror went ok and i set up for it to refresh again tonight. my question is, will the target volume automatically go offline or do i need to manually offline it? i manually offlined it before and it onlined it by itself when it was done mirroring.
thanks

SnapMirror requires that you offline the destination volume only for the initial transfer.
If you do it for incremental transfers, it will do a full update instead of an incremental update and that will take longer.

You do not need to offline the target volume for a snapmirror transfer, except for that initial transfer. snapmirror will "refresh" (send an update transfer) automatically and keep the target volume online throughout the transfer.
