Why am I getting these messages,
Because on any open mailing list there will always be bozos who post unsubscribe messages to the list, regardless of how explicit the instructions they are given when subscribing are.
Strange to relate, there are also people on any such list that followup such misdirected requests, *still* posting to the list... Inscrutable are the ways of human nature, aren't they?
