Hello,
Do any of you have a rack mounted terminal attached to your filer? I have a Wyse 50 at the moment, but wanted to invest in one of the flat screen pull out type of displays if at all possible, in an effort to tidy up my network room a bit.
Anyone seen one, used one or even heard of one?
Thanks
Simon

We use a Cyclades console server for this purpose. It uses a serial connection to the filer and the ability to use ssh to connect to a network port that is mapped to the serial filer connection. I can connect to the console from anywhere that I can run ssh.

Rackmount terminals use too much rack space, IMHO.
We use cyclades terminal servers (http://www.cyclades.com/) and connect to the filers (via the terminal servers) using ssh. any machine on the network can be a console, authenticated via radius. Works really well with a wireless laptop: mobile console.
