Has anyone hooked up an AIT2 drive to their filers? I had two 760's shipped out today and am going to need a nice large tape system to back them up. I plan on using the time manager ndmp solution for backups and would like to use a Qualstar 4400 series tape library. Anyone have any luck with them or can anyone suggest a 4-8 tape DLT system?

Brian,
I made some small test with AIT2 last week and it works great (up to 13,5MB/sec)??

Wasn't there a post a while back that AIT-2 would only work if defined as an AIT-1 drive? On the same note, has anyone worked with the new Mammoth-2 drives from Exabyte?
Thanks,
Moshe

For DLT we have had good luck with ATL products. For a small application such as this, an L1000 may be fine ( up to 4 drives ~30 slots) or an ATL 7100 series ( up to 7 drives 100 slots rebadged by Sun/Compaq). i use them both with Veritas netbackup with reasonable success.
