Nathan,
I always make sure to include the configuration as sold, and then
include the following commands: sysconfig -v, ifconfig -a, vif status,
vol status -v, sysconfig -r, df -h, license, options, sysconfig -d. The
following files are then also included: Hosts, exports. Then depending
on what is installed, I would include the lun information, host
initiators, snapmirror configurations, snapvault configurations, if
there are any switches involved, document those configurations.
I try to include the information that would be needed to rebuild the
system from scratch in the event that it was to disappear.
Good Luck,
Alan Biren

Subject: Filer Technical Documentation
I need to complete technical documentation for a filer I'm currently
installing and I'm a little perplexed on how to approach it. Because of
the "Appliance" style of the device, its not as easy to create a
detailed document as your typical Wintel/*nix server.
If anyone has a template they use/have used to document a filer
install/configuration I would be most thankful.
