I have 7 disks in vol0 in raid group 0 and 2 disks in vol1 in raid group 0.
In the manual it seems to say you can't do this. Will this cause any problems?
Oops: just reread your subject field, and I see what you are confused about now...
The "raid group 0" in each volumes are separate raid groups: it's just a naming convention. They each have their own parity disc, as 'sysconfig -r" will tel you. Raid groups are never shared between volumes.
In ONTAP 6.2, "sysconfig -r" gives names to the raid groups like "/vol0/plex0/rg0" and "/vol1/plex0/rg0", making it more obvious that they are distinct entities.
