Have someone played with / checked / benchmarked with this setting in Solaris kernel ?

This error occured on our clients SQL 7 server. The error 995 is new to me. This error was given shortly after the data base was given the shrink command.
Any ideas please.
Error: 823, Severity: 24, State: 1 I/O error 995(The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request.) detected during read of BUF pointer = 0x15a50940, page ptr = 0x254ba000, pageid = (0x1:0x105a32), dbid = 8, status = 0x801, file = \192.168.0.2\DATAWAREHOUSE\STAGE\STAGING_Data_1.MDF.
