Hello All,
I need a little advise on what this all means below in regards to the FC LINK STATS for my F760. I'm running DOT 6.2.1 with 1 FC8 drive shelve with 7 18GB drives. I'm not to sure if this is the beginning of a failed disk or what. Any info would be appreciated.

When we have seen high counts for loss of sync on a disk we have failed it and had NAC send a new disk. The beginning of the end as I understand it.
Are you getting errors in the messages file? C-

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not getting any errors in the messages file at all. Do you think that this could be a disk firmware problem with those 18GB drives? The messages file says that they are all up to date. I also ran a disk scrub and there were no problems reported.
Thanks
Blake

I can't really answer that question except to say that you could check the disk firmware tables on the now site and see if you are up to date. If you are running 6X it should have upgraded that when you upgraded the filer. At 5X it is still a manual process. That sure does look bad though. Loss of sync is not horrible if it just happens occasionally but that one disk does appear very high. If it were me, which you are not, I would make sure I had a couple of spares and manually fail the drive and call it in. We are very proactive here about failing drives that start having errors. We had, in the distant past, alot of issues because drives were let go too long when they started showing issues.
Hope that helps. C-
