There are a number of good threads in the toasters archives touching on large-scale e-mail implementation. My question is what other sites/newsgroups would you suggest are good primary resources for information/threads on enterprise e-mail? (I already have the Earthlink whitepaper from an earlier toasters thread) FWIW, the particular implementation under consideration is open to most anything at this time -- Exchange, sendmail, web-based, POP, etc. TIA. http://noc.visi.com/mc-config.gif is a picture of what I built for us.
Using Postfix and Maildir format mailboxes, Courier-IMAP for IMAP and POP3 services.
Authentication is current via NIS but moving to a new system over the next 3 months, probably LDAP based for ease of management for the frontend.
Hi Mike,
How many users are you supporting under this configuration?
Regards, Supak

20K without issue or hiccup.
It is set to scale without a single pice of hardware to 60K and from what I can see right now, should reach 100K without an issue, perhaps even higher.
Just add more pieces as needed as individual items start to wear out, even if we outrun the F760 we have, just add another NetAppen to the mix, mount and set home directories correctly and move on like nothing happened.
