It looks like Hebrew has a bug. When you try to create a folder, the initial name is "new folder", then when I try to rename it to something in Hebrew , I get a message: \filer\home_dir <\filer\home_dir> does not exist , do you want to create it ? If I answer yes I get " can not create or replace xxx. Can not create a file when that file already exists . So for me it is only English file name on the filer.

This isn't exactly what you're asking, but I know that Windows copying files over CIFS used to choke if it ran into a file with a space at the end of the name. I don't know if that was ever resolved.
