It's a simple one-step process within Snapdrive and results in no downtime. I'm pretty sure that growing the LUN, outside of snapdrive, while it is mounted will confuse Windows and result in disruption (and therefore downtime) to Exchange.

I'm off network so I can't research this, but want to ensure that I can expand a LUN for Exchange on the fly, no downtime. Plan to use SnapDrive 5.0. Volume is already large enough in capacity.

No, you can expand outside of snapdrive without interruption.
Snapdrive is controlling the same interfaces as you would doing it manually.
