Igor, You can hot swap the cable. I would sure no backup jobs are running on the Netapp and if you are using NDMP make sure you turn it off (ndmpd off) before swapping cables. It should work fine. Mike

what is the current recommendation as far as replacing a SCSI cable connecting the filer and the tape library? Does filer need to be rebooted, or is it safe to hot-swap the cable?
