Are there more than one model of gigabit card for filer 740? Which is the best, then?

You can choose among:

copper: - X1027B - single port GE card - X1037 - dual port GE card

fiber: - X1025D - single port multimode (1000BaseSX - SC connector) GE card - X1035 - dual port multimode (1000BaseSX - LC connectors) GE card

You have to consider that at this very moment single port cards are supported with current GA release 6.2.1R2 while new dual port cards require FCS release (6.3.1).
