Hi Frank,
We are running our sybase DB's on netapp filers. Some figures:
Sybase is running on a Sun 6800 with 14 CPU's and 14 GB of RAM. We are running two sybase servers on that hardware:
* PeopleSoft HR: 139 GB data and 5 GB log (grow 18 MB/day)
* Clinical Workstation: 545 GB data and 21 GB log (grow 250 MB/day).
* +70 smaller DB's.
We have +1000 concurrent users on the system.
We use FC on a FAS960c for the data and FAS3020c for the logs. We have decide to split data and logs for very specific disaster recovery raisons. We want to do a load DB of one DB (standby) without performance impact on the other DB's (production).
For the sybase, we work with raw devices and use Veritas for multi pathing.
For mor info,
You can always contact me.
Best Regards,
