Have implemented these in an 5.5TB and 8500+ user environment. No issues whatsoever, worked like a champ, stick with Ontap 6.5 or above. Enable strict symlink option from the cifs shares command. Plan on using either 1) a *nix client to mount file the filesystem 2) a windows client that can talk *nix file protocols (SFU does not work great, try cygwin or others) 3) search NOW for "symlink tool", from NetApp's Toolbox. Very slick. In fact, use this option first if u r a windows shop.
