The clients are experiencing some increase in latency, so I will investigate further, and see the problems occur during times of high utilisation.

A filer with a "high cpu state" is just that..and many have nothing to do with client protocol latency.

CPU's doing what it's doing. It's not a windows/unix box.

I dont see from this statit, that you have any actual performance issue, just "high cpu" which could be innumerable low priority tasks unique to your platform and OS.
