according to netapp, i can not do a reallocate if there are underlying snapshots, the issue is that the snapshots are for a large (3TB) oracle db, and will not be rotated off anytime soon.
is there a way around this ?
any ideas ?
The ONTAP 7.3 release family includes a new option for the reallocate command, the '-p' option. With this option, volumes containing snapshots can be effectively reallocated:
