I would like to see the "ypset" command added to the common Data Ontap command set. We have several Netapps where we need to use the "ypset" command but in order to run the command and make it permanent, you have to go into rc_toggle_basic mode. For a permanent fix we have to add "rc_toggle_basic", "ypset nisserver", "rc_toggle_basic" to the rc file. Is there any plans to make "ypset" part of the common Data Ontap command set?
Thank you, Mike

I second this. We use this upon occaision.
Regarding security issues, perhaps can be a flag in "options nis.enable" for those of us who like ypset. You can call it .. oh, I don't know.. "ypsetme"? :>
Also, it would be nice if 'ypset' could read the hosts file instead of having to enter the ip address. This is a very minor nit, but often frustrating when dealing with a semi-crisis (such as when the filer was bound to the nis slave server you just took down for maintenance).
