Is it possible to add gigabit ethernet interfaces to a virtual interface?? I've tried with Ontap 5.3 and it says:

toaster1> vif add trunk1 e6 vif: e6 cannot be attached to a vif

Does this mean that trunking works only with fast ethernet? Will 1000Fx cards be supported in a future release?

Trunking is currently only supported on fast ethernet. Future releases will support trunking with particular gigabit interfaces.
