Hi Toasters,
A customer of mine has reached the limit on the FAS3050C, in terms of shelves and disks. So inorder to allocate additional storage space, we are replacing the 36gb disk with 300gb.
However, we also need to replace the DS14, with DS14MK4 shelves becuase of better throughput between DS14 & DS14MK4. Can someone please confirm the proceedure of doing this without interuption.
Logic says that: 1) Destroy any aggregates on the 36Gb disks. 2) Zero all spares 3) Remove ownership from the 36Gb disks 3) Disable the Cluster 4) Disable the FC HBA's that are link to the DS14 shelves that are being replaced. 5) Power cycle the shelves 6) Replace the shelves and repeat the above in reverse.
Hi,
Quick question for any multistore users out there. I have a physical filer that I want to convert to a vfiler. However, I need to keep the same IP and DNS information intact, and don't want to incur any downtime. Is there a way to do this without having to take down the physical filer to change it's name/ip? We are running 7.2.3 on a 6030 with CIFS & NFS.
Thanks! Scott
