Not gong to happen or be in compliance with Netapp licensing.

This was a thread a while back, and even a VAR chimed in and said yes you could, then I think the CEO of Netapp chimed in... The answer is NO, no how no way. If you work with your VAR or sales person, they can work on getting you credit, or temp key but basically, once the filer is licensed, even if you pull that license and don't use that function, you are in violation.

You can, but it’s not allowed. It might be possible to have the license transferred, but I highly doubt they would let you.

Is it possible/allowed to use a license on a filer other that the one to which the license is associated in NOW? Let’s say I have a FAS2020 with a snapmirror license and I have no use for the license on this particular system, can I use this license on another FAS2020?
