Hi everybody,
the @ was the error. After editing the /etc/exports everything is working as expected.
Regards and thanks
Jochen

The '@' notation for netgroups was introduced in 7.0.x, and doesn't exist in 6.5.x as far as I can tell.

Hi Stephen,
thanks a lot...i created the netgroup as i did with other filers but sadly i won't work.
In my /etc/exports i have an entry like the following:
/vol/root -sec=sys,rw=@adm,root=@adm,nosuid
I will do some deeper digging...
So far, far well
Jochen

Hi toasters,
does anybody know since when (Ontap Version) you have the possibility
to
manage access to nfs-exports with netgroups. I was not able to find something on NOW but my test make me believe that it does not work
with
6.5.4. Or perhaps it does not work with 6.5.4 and me :-)
I think ONTAP supported NFS exports to netgroups even before ONTAP 5.0 when CIFS was introduced.
The /etc/exports syntax changed between 6.4 and 6.5 so you might want to read up on that.
