Oh, yes. This very mail is written on a Red Hat 7.1 machine that NFS-mounts home directories from an F720, running OnTAP 5.3.6R2. I also have Red Hat 6.2 and 7.0 machines accessing the same filer. (And also a mixture of different versions of Solaris and Tru64 machines.)

RedHat 7.1 supports NFS v2 (and v3?) As long as the system you're trying to use as a client supports NFS, it shouldn't matter what version of OnTap you're using as long as you're exporting volumes via nfs.
Hope this helps.

I have a few 7.1 boxes mouting nfs filesystems to a couple of 760's with no problems. I haven't done any benchmarks to speak of, but no one has complained.

Hi, we are using linux boxes for student access (both for labs works and internet acess) in our school and a netapp filer for home directories.
There are about 110 machines running debian GNU/linux accessing to an F720 without problems.
I think that NFS is available in any linux distribution, including redhat, you'd have no problems for your configuration.
