One of my filers (F740 running DataONTAP 6.3.3P3D1) has one RAID
group with 12 data disks, one parity, one spare, currently over
90% full. We had a data disk fail just a couple of days ago.
The message file says reconstruction took 1:13:35.71.
This is an older system that has had several disk failures, but
never on the same day, let alone within an hour and a quarter. :-)
ObWarning: Your mileage may vary.

I usually setup my filers with raidsize=7 having no more than 7 disks
per volume. However, I would like create a raidsize=13 volume. The
only risk i can glean from NOW is that rebuild time will increase and
thus increase the chances of a second drive failure (during rebuild).
Has anyone had any real world issues with using volumes of raidsize > 10
