I ran into a weird problem with Peoplesoft (PS). The client run PS from the Citrix Metaframe 1.8 server with the PS database on the Unix Server. The client cache folder resides on F760c (ONTAP 6.3.1R1, Gig NIC). The cache folder has the client's configuration settings when the app is started. With this setup, it takes about 5minutes to load the app and 100MB of traffic exchange between the Filer and the Citrix server. Even though the cache folder only has about 1.5MB of files. I'm not an expert in decoding network traces but it show a lot retransmission packets size of 1.4MB with no data. But when I moved the cache folder to another NT server or Filer F820 (ONTAP 6.3.1R1, Gig NIC), the app loads in 10secs.

Any ideas?
