Hello Walter,
According to auto_support man page saying that yes it is.
" autosupport.mailhost: Default is mailhost. Enter the list of mailhosts separated by "," and no spaces. Up to 5 hosts will be accepted. The autosupport mechanism will try to contact each listed host in turn until it gets a successful SMTP connection. The default mailhost address is set to the adminhost address in /etc/hosts with a command such as
options autosupport.mailhost mercury,venus,mars
"
DO you know howto access your filer via http? here is how I accessing to it:
http://toaster%5Cna_admin, click on filer_view:
Then put in username and password (Admin username and it password,) then click on Configure AutoSupport
in there it has 5 slot for mailhost to be add on. Mine is only one, because we have only one SMTP mail server to go out.
Your http web access might be different, because of the OS you have. I am still using DataOntap OS version: 6.1R1
Hopes that help.

Dear Toasters, I have NetApp Filers from Chicago to South Carolina and I use Autosupport to keep track of the health and happiness of each one. They
all have multiple SMTP servers on their local LAN.
- Can I configure the Filers to use multiple SMTP gateways (e.g. if
SMTP-A fails, try SMTP-B. If SMTP-B fails try SMTP-C... etc.)? 2. If this CAN be done, how do I configure the Filers to do this?
Thanks,
