Jason,
I have spoken to some of my contacts (ClearCase development engineers) at Rational and there are no issues with ClearCase and DST either on filers or other storage platforms.
NetApp filers have been certified for use in a ClearCase environment since 1996 and I am not aware of any DST issues as a result of using NetApp with ClearCase.

This is an advanced notice that DST is coming on Sunday April 7th. We expect a problem with ClearCase and DST. Specifically, all files in your views will become hijacked after the time change.
We have been working with Rational to resolve this situation. We have narrow the problem down to the interaction between ClearCase and the NetApp that the users' views resides. The area that we are specifically focusing into is how NetApp is handling DST.
In the mean time, between now and April 7th, please check in all files in your view. After the DST has occured, please follow the procedures below to update your view ONLY if you have checked in ALL your files. If you still have files checked out, please contact me for assistance.
- Open up ClearCase Home Base. - Click on Views Tab. - Click on Update Snapshot View button. - In "Start Update" window, select your view to be updated. - Click on Advanced Tab. - Select "Delete hijacked files and load selected versions from the VOB". - Select "Set file times to current time". - Click OK to update.
This message will be sent out again on Wednesday 4/3 and Friday 4/5. If you are leaving on vacation for next week, please have all your files checked in by end of tomorrow!
Please note that checking in your files DOES NOT mean you are submitting your changes to the build. To submit to the nitely build, you'll continue to follow standard procedures.
