I would doubt there were any big fixes to spares_zero.
I haven't checked them, but since it's not in regular
command mode, I wouldn't hold my breath.
One way to keep your console while the process is
running is to issue the command via rsh from a
trusted host. That way you don't chew up your
prompt.
Something like:
# rsh filer 'priv set diag ; spares_zero'
Note, use the single quotes so that both commands
go to the filer.
