After a recent upgrade to 7.3, we have noticed all/many of our MacOSX clients banging the crap out of the filer that hosts their home directories (over NFS). (The ops are 75% NFS v3 lookups and 25% access calls.) Anybody else seen anything similar? It's definitely SpotLight that is the cause, but other than the filer OS change, the Mac clients have not changed one bit. It's almost as if the Macs think they have an entirely new volume/filesystem to catalog.
Until next time...
