Hi. We have a customer who wants to use NetApp filers with ArcServe. Has anyone here done that or know someone who has? Presently, I believe they have a workaround that uses an intermediary server that takes the backup from the filer and then uses ArcServe to transfer to tape, but we'd prefer an answer with a little more finesse.

Has anyone developed an ADSM client for NetApp filers?

I've talked to IBM and NetApp. They've thought about it. Each one seems to be waiting on the other and IBM seems to be waiting for some customer demand. We've lost some ADMS customers on The University of Texas campus to Legato because there was not a filer client. I haven't checked in a while maybe there is one. After the Tivoli merger I can't figure out how to get help or buy software support.
