I do not have an FC-AL arrays at this time, although I know it is something that is rolling out.
The comments on reliability concern me a bit, at least for me, my NetApps have been "plug" and go.

Just curious if people are having trouble with their FC-Al disks on their Netapps...

I think you should get some sleep judging by the last 2 letters and this one you're becomming delusional most likely from sleep deprivation.

P.S. I have 6 FC-AL filers 4 of them with clustering (soon to be 6). The only problem I've had with FC-AL was with one LRC. Although it was a bit nasty causing my filer to halt and switch to it's cluster partner after a while (about a week) with no explanation, I have never lost any data. The "good people at NetApp" have changed the LRC about a month or two ago and since then it's been smooth sailing.
