Hi Uros, The F700 series will support the DLT8000 in an emulation mode, if your DLT drive is an HVD model, not LVD or SE. That's on the hardware side. On the software side, the DLT8000 will not be supported until the next release of software, so you will have to emulate a DLT7000 until then. You do that by creating an entry in the /etc/cloned_tapes file, that says
DLT8000 EMULATES DLT7000
Be aware that the DLT8000 will now act like a DLT7000, so you will only get the same speed and capacity of a 7000, not the 8000. Once the new software is released, you can remove that entry and the drive will act like a normal 8000.
