toaster folk,

mark muhlestein was gracious enough to read my pktt traces. it seems eventhough i am pointing directly to a dir with subst:

subst h: \filer\users\a\adam

the command tries to get attribs from \filer\users\a. so eventhough i had cifs.bypass_traverse_checking on and even an X perm on \filer\users\a subst got mad.

putting some level of read on \filer\users\a seems to correct it. subst h: \filer\users\a\adam then works.

right now i have R,X on it.
