I can't seem to find a definite answer to this one...
Can ontap 7.3 actually dedupe across a whole aggregate or only within one volume? I know the dedupe _data_ moves to the aggr in 7.3 but does that change how it works?
We have many cases where databases (each in their own flex vol in the same aggr) are near-duplicates of each other, would this get de-duped? (seemingly a good case for flex-clones but unfortunately when they're generated they're usually copied from one netapp to another).

It is volume level only. Can't get docs now but definitely not aggr yet.
