If I have an active/active (non-Metro) filer cluster, and I use SyncMirror to mirror the root volume of one filer, will I end up with mailbox disks in both plexes, or are the mailbox disks only in one plex (leaving me with a problem if that plex goes away completely)?
Online documentation on this is not entirely clear. Would someone who has a SyncMirror setup be able to have a look at their system and answer this definitively?

Mailbox disks are synced across the plexes as well:

Extremely useful, I now know exactly what to ask my Netapp salespeople.
Does your ASUP have, in the "CLUSTER MONITOR" section, eight disks listed in the "mailbox disks" part?
My non-mirrored cluster lists four disks, like this:
Disk 2b.16 is a local mailbox disk Disk 2b.32 is a local mailbox disk Disk 1b.16 is a partner mailbox disk Disk 1b.32 is a partner mailbox disk
Does the mirrored system list two more discs for local and two more for partner, on a different storage adapter?
