The disks in the DC-12 shelf are located like this(front left to right). 15 14 13 12 11 10 09 08 03 02 01 00
If the disk is already failed, you don't need to do it again. Check the message section of your autosupport-mail to find out which disk is failed.
Remember to run "disk swap" before changing disks.

I have a fail disk in a SDS12 shelf but unfortunately the LED has gone to amber color and I wonder how disks are numbered into the shelf ?
I think it is from 0 to 11 from left to right when looking in front of the shelf , am I right ?
the disk has been declared no good for I/O by the filer and I have the replacing part and I have another question
the doc tell us to declare the disk failed by the
disk fail <disk_name>
command , ok but ... what is the name of the disk ?
