Has anybody had any experience using a filer with NT Terminal Server Edition and Metaframe. I want to be able to have users UNIX (HP-UX 10.20) home directories on the filer and for the user to also be able to access that data from their Terminal Server (Metaframe 1.8) session.

We have been doing this for some time. We use the NT "home" directory for NT, and the qtree that holds the NT home directories uses NT security. In the users home directory is a directory named unix and the "unix" directory is used for the unix home directory. We felt it was better to have the unix directory NOT be the same as the NT home directory so that the 'dot' files would not show up under NT. The users unix home directory entry in the password file looks like this:
joebob:password:uid:gid: Joe Bob Briggs:/home/netapp_filer/joebob/unix
And the automounter mounts netapp_filer:/vol/vol1/home as /home/netapp_filer
The user can "cd .." from his unix home directory and get to his NT home directory and can click on the "unix" directory in his NT home directory to get to his unix files.
If you create a share at the NT home level, users can see each others directories.
