I'm trying to do CIFS mount backup on a Legato Windows 2000 Client. I mount a NetApp (DOT 6.3.1) share on the box which becomes the "J" drive.
The legato group run fails with the following error. Anybody seen this before? I've separated the pertinent error below:

Don't know if this will solve it but I know that in a default install the Networker client service is set to run as the local "system" user. You will need to change this to a network user with access to the filer share and all the data on it (restart the service after changing the run as user for it to take effect). I would also recommend using the UNC pathname for the filer share instead of a drive letter that can possibly become unmapped or unavailable. If after trying these ideas you don't have success login to the Win2k server as the user you set the service to run as and run the Networker "save" command interactively to isolate a user login issue if it exists. Lastly, if still unsuccessful search at Microsoft for that "network provider" error message...Networker is just reporting the message Win2k returned!
